This policy applies to the website visualclicks.de. For customers who use VisualClicks to analyse their own websites, the contractual agreements apply in addition; we process the data of visitors to those customer websites on behalf of the respective customer.
2. The key points
- The informational pages of this website use no cookies and no analytics or tracking tools.
- Fonts and images are served from our own server; no third-party content (such as Google Fonts, maps, videos or social media plugins) is loaded.
- We only process personal data as far as necessary to run the website or to handle your request.
3. Hosting
The website is hosted by Hetzner Online GmbH, Industriestr. 25, 91710 Gunzenhausen, Deutschland, on servers in Germany. The host processes the data listed below solely on our behalf and on our instructions (Art. 28 GDPR).
4. Server log files
Whenever the website is accessed, our web server automatically stores: IP address, date and time, requested address, status code and amount of data transferred, the previously visited page (referrer) and browser and operating system (user agent).
The purpose is technical operation, error analysis and defence against attacks. The legal basis is our legitimate interest in a secure, working website (Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR). Log files are deleted automatically after 14 days and are not combined with other data.
5. Cookies
The informational pages of this website set no cookies. Only on the “Request access” page and when logging in to the application are two strictly necessary cookies set: a session cookie (visualclicks_session) and a cookie protecting against forged form submissions (XSRF-TOKEN). Both expire after two hours. For that period we also store the IP address and browser identifier of the session on our server.
The legal basis is § 25 (2) no. 2 TDDDG (strictly necessary) in conjunction with Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR; our legitimate interest is a secure form and a secure login.
6. Access requests via the form
When you request access via the form, we process the details you enter: name, e-mail address and – optionally – company, website, interests and message, as well as the language of the page and the time of the request. We use these details solely to handle your request and to get in touch with you.
The legal basis is Art. 6 (1) (b) GDPR (steps taken at your request prior to a possible contract) or Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR for general enquiries. The details are stored on our servers in Germany, are not passed on to third parties and are deleted as soon as they are no longer needed for handling the request and no statutory retention obligations apply.
7. Contact by e-mail
If you send us an e-mail, we process your e-mail address and the content of the message in order to reply (Art. 6 (1) (b) or (f) GDPR). The data is deleted when it is no longer needed and no retention obligations apply.
8. Encryption
The website is delivered exclusively over encrypted HTTPS (TLS).
9. Your rights
You have the right of access (Art. 15 GDPR), rectification (Art. 16), erasure (Art. 17), restriction of processing (Art. 18), data portability (Art. 20) and to object to processing based on legitimate interests (Art. 21). You can withdraw any consent given at any time with effect for the future (Art. 7 (3)). An informal message to info@visualclicks.de is sufficient.
You may also lodge a complaint with a data protection supervisory authority (Art. 77 GDPR). The authority responsible for us is: Die Landesbeauftragte für den Datenschutz und für das Recht auf Akteneinsicht Brandenburg, Stahnsdorfer Damm 77, 14532 Kleinmachnow, Germany, www.lda.brandenburg.de.
10. No automated decisions
We do not make automated decisions or carry out profiling within the meaning of Art. 22 GDPR. Providing your data is voluntary; without a name and e-mail address, however, we cannot handle an access request.
