Privacy-friendly tracking – no cookies required
Good analytics does not need surveillance. VisualClicks measures as sparingly as possible, stores no IP addresses and adapts fully to your consent rules.
No IP addresses stored
The IP is only used briefly in memory to determine country and city from a local database – and then discarded.
Servers in Germany
Collection, database and analysis run on servers in Germany. No external service is asked for location data.
No fingerprinting
No device fingerprints. In cookieless mode there is no recognition across days.
Global Privacy Control respected
Browsers that object via Global Privacy Control (GPC) are neither tracked nor recorded.
Exclude internal traffic
Enter office or agency IPs as exclusions; those visits are not captured at all.
Permissions for personal data
Roles for the team and a separate permission for personal data per person.
Three consent modes – your choice
Per website you choose how VisualClicks handles consent.
Cookieless
No cookies and no identifiers in the browser. Visits are only joined within a single day. For reach, channels, pages, funnels and e-commerce.
- No cookies
- No recognition across days
- Orders additionally from the server
Consent
Cookieless without consent; after consent, additionally recognition across days, linking to the login and – if switched on – session recording.
- Full measurement after consent
- Numbers even without consent
- Consent gap as a report
Own consent manager
Your existing cookie banner controls VisualClicks: it reports consent and withdrawal with fwa.consent.grant() and fwa.consent.revoke().
- Works with any banner
- Categories such as analytics and recording
- Withdrawal at any time
Replays with built-in restraint
Session recording only starts after consent by default. Input fields are always masked in the browser, and you mark further areas with a CSS selector. The sampling rate controls how many sessions are recorded at all.
- Forms, passwords and payment details are never transmitted
- Recording without consent only if you explicitly switch it on
Frequently asked questions
Is VisualClicks GDPR compliant?
VisualClicks is designed for privacy-friendly measurement: cookieless mode, no stored IP addresses, servers in Germany, masking in replays and consent modes. Whether your use as a whole is compliant depends on your configuration and your privacy policy – only your data protection adviser can assess that bindingly.
What exactly does “cookieless” mean?
In cookieless mode VisualClicks neither sets cookies nor stores identifiers in the browser. Visits on the same day are joined through an identifier that changes daily and cannot be reversed; nobody is recognised across several days.
How does VisualClicks work with my consent manager?
In “consent” mode VisualClicks measures cookieless without consent and only enables recognition, login linking and session recording after consent. In “own consent manager” mode your banner reports consent with fwa.consent.grant() and fwa.consent.revoke().
What data can team members see?
Personal data such as login identifiers or properties marked as personal is only visible to team members with the corresponding permission, which you grant per person.
Measure without losing trust
Request your access. After that, one line of tracking code is all it takes – the first visits show up in real time.
